Total Mechanical Systems is proud to announce that we’re a featured contractor of the Energize CT heating loan program, which is a collaborative utility financing program for customers of United Illuminating (UI), Connecticut Light & Power (CL&P), Connecticut Natural Gas (CNG), Southern Connecticut Gas (SCG) and Yankee Gas (YG).
To participate in this special loan program, you must own a single-family home or a multi-family home up to four units, including condos. Heating equipment must also meet ENERGY STAR® or higher ratings for boilers, mini splits, furnaces and heat pumps.
To participate, makes and models of the heating and air equipment must meet the following:
- Natural Gas Boilers – AFUE ≥ 85
- Natural Gas Furnaces – AFUE ≥ 95
- Oil Boilers/Furnaces – AFUE ≥ 85
- Air Source Heat Pumps – SEER ≥ 14.5, EER ≥ 12, HSPF ≥ 8.2 (mini-split systems) SEER ≥ 14, EER ≥ 11, HSPF ≥ 8 (single packaged systems)
- Ductless Heat Pumps – SEER ≥ 14.5, EER ≥ 12, HSPF ≥ 8.2
- Water Heaters – As part of a combined heating system
Energize CT Financing amounts and terms:
- Financing is available up to $15,000.
- A minimum down payment of 10% of the cost of the replacement heating furnace or boiler equipment is required. The minimum down payment varies by type and efficiency of equipment selected.
- 0% interest rate through October 31, 2015!
- Financing term up to 10 years based on the time it takes for the replacement heating furnace or boiler equipment to pay for itself from energy savings, plus two years.
- No fees to you or your contractor; no pre-payment penalty.
- Unsecured, fixed-rate financing.
- Payments are made along with your monthly electric bill payments. If the property is sold, the balance may be repaid or may be transferred to the new owner.
You’re eligible if your residence is:
- 1-4 units (condominiums must be individually metered)
- Owner-occupied
- Your primary residence and located Connecticut
- Mobile homes not eligible for Solar PV, Solar Hot Water and Geothermal.
