At Total Mechanical Systems, our vision includes the line, “…we will continue to give back to our community and provide opportunities for our families.” This is a guiding principle for our entire Total family.
We value our communities and put the utmost importance on community involvement and helping out as best and as often as we possibly can. When the need arises, we will always be there.
Below are some of the great events, programs, and communities that we’ve had the pleasure to be a part of with many, many more to come.
October 2022 – Breast Cancer Awareness Hope Kits
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, we donated 70+ Hope Kits to breast cancer warriors at the Beekley Center for Breast Health at Bristol Hospital. Our Hope Kits included gifts to bring hope and joy to patients going through treatment.
August 2022 – United Way Adopt-A-Child Backpack Program
Our team donated 30+ backpacks full of clothes and school supplies to the United Way of West Central Connecticut for students in need. This was our largest backpack drive to date!
May 2022 – Donation to Because of The Brave
We donated to Because of The Brave – A foundation focused on Honoring Our Veterans and Military, Educating the Youth, and Supporting First Responders.

We started off the year with a donation to the American Cancer Society.
December 2021 – 2nd Annual Total Toy Drive
We participated in the United Way of West Central Connecticut’s Joy of Sharing campaign once again this year along with Jim’s Deli! This year had an amazing turn out for gift donations! We are so thankful for our FANTASTIC staff and local communities’ donations!
November 2021 – Stuff-A-Truck Thanksgiving Food Drive
Thanks to our AMAZING staff we donated a ton of Thanksgiving food items to the United Way of West Central Connecticut!
November 2021 – Veterans Day Thank You Cards
This year for Veterans Day, we decided to write cards to thank our local veterans for their service. We celebrated in office and brought our thank you cards to the American Legion of Southington Connecticut!
October 2021 – Kapura Truck Or Treat 2021
We had a blast joining our friends at Kapura General Contractors, Inc for their annual Truck Or Treat event!
October 2021 – PARC 20th Annual Helen and Danny Coughlin Memorial Walk
We love to support our local community and PARC is a great cause here in Connecticut! We donated to support the PARC 20th Annual Helen and Danny Coughlin Memorial Walk at Norton Park in Plainville, CT!

Our team donated 20+ backpacks full of clothes and school supplies to the United Way of West Central Connecticut for students in need. This is our favorite way to give back, gearing young students up to learn!
December 2020 – Total Mechanical Systems & Total Bath Systems Toy Drive
We absolutely love the holidays and sharing our joy with others. We teamed up with our friends at Jim’s Deli to spread our joy to families in need! Thanks to the amazing employees and customers of TMS, TBS, and Jim’s Deli, we donated a truck full of gifts to the United Way of West Central Connecticut!
November 2020 – Stuff-A-Truck Thanksgiving Food Drive
Thanks to our FANTASTIC customers and team, we donated a truck full of Thanksgiving food to families in our community that are in need. We thank everyone who came and donated to this cause, we’re sure the families receiving the donations greatly appreciated it! A special thank you to our team members Phil, Jake, Traci, Amanda, and Deneard for collecting items!
December 2019 – Winter Coat Drive
We donated a big box full of winter coats, scarves, gloves, hats and blankets. We’re so glad our team came together to donate their unneeded items to people in need! All items were donated to the Coats for Connecticut program.
September 2019 – “Shoes with Heart” Donation
Through September we accepted shoe donations from our employees to donate to the United Way “Shoes with Heart” collection. All shoes donated are repurposed to other organizations, locally and abroad, for play areas and family services.
August 2019 – United Way Adopt-A-Child Backpack Program
Our team was super excited to purchase outfits, school supplies and backpacks for young students in need! We were able to donate to 10 students through the United Way of West Central Connecticut.
May 2019 – Donation To The Beekley Center For Breast Health And Wellness At Bristol Hospital
We made a $5000 donation that benefits Bristol Hospital’s Community Health Project. The goal of the Bristol Community Breast Health Project is to save the lives of women in the greater Bristol area by providing education, awareness and financial assistance to cover the cost of a mammogram.
December 2018 – Winter Coat Drive
Thanks to our amazing team and customers we collected an overflowing box of coats, hats, scarves, and gloves that we donated to keep people in need warm and comfortable this winter… that’s what we like to see! We are so thankful for everyone who donated and so proud of our community coming together to help others. All coats were donated to the Coats for Connecticut program.
October 2018 – Breast Cancer Center Care Packages
TMS values taking care of our community and that’s why we visited 4 breast health centers at local Connecticut hospitals. During our visits, we donated care packages to each hospital to show our gratitude.
June 2018 – Touch-A-Truck
We had a blast bringing our trucks to the Touch-A-Truck event! This event gave kids the opportunity to see what we keep in our trucks and even sit behind the wheel.
December 2017 – Winter Coat Drive
Keeping people warm and comfortable in the coldest of weather is always a priority! Thanks to our fantastic employees, we were able to donate 20+ coats to people in need. All coats were donated to the Coats for Connecticut program.
